.NET C# Developer Position

Career opportunity for a mid to senior level .NET /C# Software Developer for one of our key clients in the Carlsbad area of San Diego. The qualified candidate will be responsible for applying a wide range of technologies to develop functionality for new and existing business solutions. Qualified candidates must have an extensive track record in developing scalable n-tier architectures in enterprise environments. Deep knowledge and experience with distributed object oriented environments will be mandatory. Quality, commitment and teamwork should be priority.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with solutions for converting legacy systems to new .NET technologies

• Manage code library – policing what should be added to the library and what shouldn’t

• Design application security model for web based internal and external applications

• Must have extensive SQL Development skills

• Help establish build and configuration management procedures for projects that involve multiple developers and concurrent code release versions.

• Help establish testing plans and procedures for all applications prior to deployment to production (load testing using ACT)

• Help ensure that the team understands and applies all established processes and coding standard procedures.

• Help develop a coding framework so that all projects use the same libraries and coding standards

• Design and Develop applications that focus on external and internal solutions while leveraging existing systems which may include commercial off the shelf applications.

• Ensure that the proper technical documentation is produced for each project

• Work with various users at all levels – managers, executives, team members and end users to plan and offer solutions.

• Work intimately with the Network Team to ensure proper procedures for managing existing applications

• Responsible for providing estimates of work based on project scope and distributing work to team members and monitoring pace and technique of each developer as it relates to the project scope and time estimates.

Experience:

• Solid level experience in – .NET (C#, VB.NET, ASP.NET, ADO.NET), Web Services, SOAP, XML, SQL Server, MS application blocks and Reporting Tools experience.

• Solid object oriented experience: OOP/OOD and UML

• Must have strong Design skills

• Must have strong automated testing skills and Agile/Lean methodology experience is a HUGE plus

• 5+ years of solid development experience and at least 2 years working on large scalable enterprise projects

• Solid understanding of the SDLC model with real world experience using this model in large scale projects

• College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or business management.

• MCSD certification preferred in .NET

• Excellent experience managing Visual SourceSafe projects including code branching

• Experience using 3rd party tools such as Infragistics and ActiveReports.NET

• Solid understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives and propose projects based on those goals
