Our San Diego event will be held at the UCSD Extension campus in UTC. Michele Leroux Bustamante and Zoiner Tejada are your hosts. They’ll provide some background presentations, great discussions, and lead you through labs to practice hands on Windows Azure features.
BRING YOUR OWN LAPTOP!

The room will have Internet and power for everyone attending. You’ll need to make sure you have the following set up first:

Get your FREE Windows Azure subscription. Get a free 90-day trial.

Install the following on your laptop:
Choose the operating system you are most familiar with. We won’t have time to help you with issues related to the OS. Windows 7 (Home Basic not supported), Windows 8, Windows Server 2008 R2, Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2, Windows Server 2012
Visual Studio 2012 (full version or Express – note if you use Express, you may not be able to complete all the labs)
Windows Azure Tools for Visual Studio
Windows Azure Training Kit

Not just for beginners!

We will use the Windows Azure Training Kit to guide you to the basics. But we’re prepared to talk real world as well!

We’ll also be running a scalability experiment that just may bring one of the Windows Azure datacenters down!
